In January 2020, the view of IT spending by businesses was rosy, with expectations that it would increase by 4.7% over the previous year. But IT spending is now predicted to decline by 2.7% — a drop of almost 8%, says IDC. Somehow, you’re going to have to cope.
Under the best of circumstances, the cost-cutting part of the job is no fun. But your second major mandate makes up for it in excitement — perhaps even too much so.

Data management (72%) — When the mandate to work from home hit, office workers everywhere picked up their laptops and left the premises.
