  • Automation Anywhere Propels NASSCOM’s futureskills Robotic Process Automation Vision

• Partners with EdCast, a leading Silicon Valley organization powering futureskills portal

• Becomes the first training partner under the Robotic Process Automation domain

Automation Anywhere®, the leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), today joined hands with EdCast for “futureskills,” a NASSCOM skilling initiative unveiled by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this year. With this partnership, Automation Anywhere has become the first provider of upskilling programs in the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) domain under futureskills initiative. RPA is among the eight technologies identified by NASSCOM which are poised to grow tremendously, both nationally and globally, in the coming decade.

As part of the agreement, subscribers on futureskills portal will have exclusive access to Automation Anywhere University (AAU) training programs that encompass RPA technology overviews, theoretical concepts, typical business cases, and hands-on practice exercises. The program will empower the students with globally-recognized Automation Anywhere certifications that can lead to exciting career opportunities.

AAU was formed with the mission of transferring RPA knowledge and skills to professionals across all industries worldwide and preparing the next generation of successful business leaders for the new era of global work. AAU is an RPA learning platform that includes a catalogue of courses and certifications delivered through an online e-learning portal as well as in classrooms through a network of accredited global partners. These programs are available around the world for all types of RPA roles. Through the program, Automation Anywhere is aiming to train over one lakh students and professionals in 2018. AAU’s partnership on futureskills will further enable NASSCOM’s vision of upskilling two million technology professionals and skilling another two million potential employees and students over the next few years.

“We are very proud to be a part of this prestigious initiative and mission-critical national agenda,” said Ankur Kothari, Chief Revenue Officer and Co-Founder of Automation Anywhere. “As RPA continues its rapid adoption at the enterprise level, we see India driving this trend worldwide. It is not only opening multi-billion opportunities for Indian enterprises and creating lakhs of job opportunities which did not exist until recently, but also leading a big push for the country’s rich engineering talent pool. To seize this opportunity there needs to be a solid and sustainable upskilling program. We are glad the Indian Government and NASSCOM have reacted well to this compelling need with a comprehensive skilling program and it is our pleasure to be a trusted partner in this nation building exercise.”

“India has a huge opportunity to become the hub of process automation,” said Amit Aggarwal, CEO, IT/ITES Sector Skill Council of NASSCOM. “Global in-house centers/captives, BPOs and service providers have centers in India where they run the shared services to support global customers and operations. We have the processes, expertise and technology platform to lead the world in process automation. We are happy that Automation Anywhere is collaborating with Edcast on NASSCOM’s futureskills initiative to reskill and upskill our IT/ITES community.”

“We predict RPA, as a category, can create new job opportunities in the range of 2,90,000 – 3,20,000 lakh over the next three years,” added Kothari. “With a robust training program and a strong partner network, Automation Anywhere University aims to continue to enhance the rich engineering talent pool in this country, particularly in the RPA domain.”
