Automation Anywhere®, the leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), today announced its first agreement with an educational institution in Singapore – the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). This agreement enables ITE to equip its students with RPA knowledge and skills, and prepares them to join the workforce which increasingly places emphasis on digital skills.
As part of the partnership, ITE will set up three Centres of Excellence across its colleges in Central, East and West Singapore, with full working models of RPA software for ITE’s training purposes. With Automation Anywhere’s software and curriculum materials, ITE students and full-time staff will have access to the latest, easy-to-use software designed to leverage the benefits of digital technologies through RPA.
“As Singapore becomes an increasingly Smart Nation, its workforce must be prepared with the future-ready skills – which includes working alongside bots and Industry 4.0 technologies like RPA,” said Ron Goh, President, ASEAN and Korea, Automation Anywhere. “We are committed to building the digital ecosystem of Singapore and the region. Our collaboration with ITE marks Automation Anywhere’s first step in training a future-ready workforce with digital skills necessary for the new era of work.”
According to Ms. Low Khah Gek, Chief Executive Officer, ITE, “As a training provider, we need to work hand-in-hand with the industry to keep pace with the dynamic transformation in the job landscape. Emerging technologies have created new skills sets and challenges, and it is our responsibility to provide exposure and experiences that would make our students innovators, creators and problem solvers in future.”
The Automation Anywhere and ITE agreement will see about 240 students per year equipped with RPA knowledge and skills. These students will also be given opportunities including project work. These activities provide students with practical real-world experience as well as internship placements with Automation Anywhere. As part of its commitment to build Singapore’s digital workforce, Automation Anywhere looks forward to more collaborative opportunities with educational institutions within the country.
