  • Automation Anywhere Continues its Rapid Growth in Customers, Partners and Employees in First Half 2017

Automation Anywhere, the global leader in enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA), today announced very strong customer, partner and employee growth during the first half of 2017.

The company added 158 new customers, including The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc., KeyBank, Quion Groep B.V. and Suncorp along with 25 Fortune 500 organizations. These enterprise customers are leaders in their respective industries. The additions bring Automation Anywhere’s total customer count to more than 695 worldwide enterprise customers using its Digital Workforce platform, cementing its position as the provider with the industry’s largest customer base.

During the January to June 2017 timeframe, Automation Anywhere had an impressive bookings expansion rate of 282 percent as well as an existing customer renewal rate of 99.5 percent, a compelling indicator of customer satisfaction as companies continue to invest heavily in Automation Anywhere products.

“After record growth in 2016 and an exciting first half of this year, we’re on track to set multiple new records in 2017,” said Mihir Shukla, CEO and Co-Founder of Automation Anywhere. “Our first half metrics are unprecedented in the software industry and are validation of our position as the clear leader in the RPA category as the only true Digital Workforce provider, delivering all three Digital Workforce pillars – RPA, cognitive and analytics.”

Employee and Partner Expansion

During the first half of 2017, Automation Anywhere added 140 new employees. The company plans to hire 350 employees this year, with 120 completely dedicated to customer success and support, bringing total headcount to 700 by January 2018.

Automation Anywhere recently opened an office in Singapore to support demand in APAC. The company plans to open an office in Tokyo on the heels of their recent Hitachi partnership announcement.

The company also grew its partner network for even greater RPA expansion, adding 10 new partners to bring its total number of global partners to 38.

Partner expansion was capped in mid-July with the announcement of a new strategic collaboration with IBM. This partnership clears the way for IBM to embed Automation Anywhere’s RPA product into its digital process automation solutions to help companies drive new efficiencies by automating repetitive, labor-intensive tasks. The collaboration will make it easier for companies to improve processes across their enterprises and free employees to focus their time on more creative and customer-facing aspects of their jobs.

“With this new partnership, IBM and Automation Anywhere will rededicate ourselves to fulfilling the promise of automating workflows to drive business performance with unprecedented speed and accuracy,” added Shukla. “We will deliver this new digital imperative not at the speed of workflow – but rather at the speed of our ambition.”

Product Leadership

In the first half of 2017 the company also launched its biggest advancement in cognitive RPA capabilities with the next evolution of Document Automation, software bots capable of learning from human behavior, for intelligent process automation. By combining cognitive abilities with practical, rule-based RPA capabilities, organizations can quickly scale and up level their Digital Workforces to fully automate processes end-to-end and run them independently, with minimal human intervention.

Imagine: Industry’s First User Conference to Include Both Humans and Bots

During the first half of the year, Automation Anywhere hosted Imagine, the company’s premier customer experience event that took place in New York, attended by 350 RPA customers and partners – who brought and displayed more than 150 bots – from around the globe. The next Imagine customer experience will be held in Bengaluru, India, on Sept. 6-7, with more than 800 human attendees expected along with more than 300 bots.
