Five Steps to Getting Started with the Bot Store

Written by Mukund Srigopal in The New Bot Economy on July 19, 2018

Enter the age of the hybrid workforce, where armies of digital workers are increasingly taking on demanding, repetitive and high-volume business functions, allowing human workers to focus on activities that require human cognition.

At Automation Anywhere, we’re on a mission to elevate the human workforce and we’ve taken a giant step towards this goal with Bot Store – a marketplace for pre-built, ready-to-deploy bots that run on the Automation Anywhere Enterprise platform.

In the few months since its launch, we’ve seen tremendous growth in the number of bots, active users, bot downloads, and the diversity of business processes, applications, technology integrations, and cognitive capabilities supported by bots listed in the Bot Store.

With new users joining daily, we wanted to outline 5 easy steps to help you get started:

1. First things first – Know who can use Bot Store

While anyone can access, browse and search the Bot Store with a standard web browser, you’ll need a Bot Store user account to request and download bots. Only Automation Anywhere customers and partners are currently allowed to create Bot Store user accounts. Before creating your Bot Store account, ensure that you have an Automation Anywhere Zendesk support account (for customers) or are registered in our partner portal (for partners).

2. Create your Bot Store user account

To create your Bot Store user account, go to the URL below, fill out the basic form, accept terms and conditions, and click on the ‘Register’ button. Your registration should be instantly processed* and you should be ready to accelerate your RPA initiatives.

*Note: If you don’t have an Automation Anywhere Zendesk support account and if you’re not registered in our partner portal, you’ll receive an error message while attempting to create your Bot Store account.

3. Find the bots for your automation project

Use the search box at the top of every Bot Store page to find the most relevant bots for your automation needs. The search function matches against the title, description, owner and other bot attributes.

You can also narrow down the search by selecting business process, application and category filters in the left navigation pane on the Bot Store homepage. Selecting a filter value will take you to a page with a listing of bots that best meet the criteria.

4. All listed bots are offered free of charge

You read that right. All bots listed in the Bot Store are offered free of charge.

5. Download or request the bots you need

While many bots in the Bot Store are instantly downloadable, others are not. All Automation Anywhere bots, and many bots listed by our partners are instantly downloadable. When you request a downloadable bot, you will receive an email containing a download link for the bot shortly thereafter. When you request a non-downloadable bot listed by one of our partners, we forward the request to the partner for fulfillment.
