1. Introducing variable support in 'Workflow Designer'. Using this feature, users can easily define variables global to the workflow. This functionality can be used to store and retrieve the information and facilitate smooth movement of data across the tasks in the workflow.
2. Introduced support for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. One can now run their tasks reliably on the latest versions of Windows.
   Note: In this version of Automation Anywhere, only desktop applications are supported. Support for the new Modern/Metro UI applications is not available.
3. Introducing support for Internet Explorer 10. Web and Rich Internet applications can now be recorded and run reliably in Internet Explorer 10.
4. Now Auto Login is supported on advanced Windows operating systems (Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012).
5. Improved the performance of 'Web Recorder'. Now, playing a recorded task can run 20% faster than before.
6. Introduced 'Multi-tab Task Editor'. This allows you to edit multiple tasks at the same time.
7. Added system variables (System, AAApplicationPath, AAInstallationPath, CPUUsage, RAMUsage, TotalRAM, OSName, and Millisecond). These are very useful when you want to run tasks based on certain value of the system variables.
8. Variable Operations:
   
   1. Enhanced Variable Operations user interface. Now users can assign variables easily.
   2. Added List and Random variable types to Variable Operations. Now users can operate on these variable types as well.
   3. Ability to reinitialize variables. This is a great help to users when they want to reuse variables at run time.
   4. Added support for all variable types. Now users can assign or reinitialize all variable types/source.
   5. Added variable support in reinitialize functionality. This will give the flexibility to users to initialize variables with dynamic values at run time.
9. Added options to 'Pause' and 'Stop' Task in the Run-time window.
10. Added Run Time Settings to allow task to be run as an administrator. This is useful when tasks need to be run in a secured environment.
11. Now Insert Keystroke and Insert Mouse Click commands can have an internal delay. This is useful if you want to wait for certain time interval before executing the command.
12. Introduced 'Insert Mouse Scroll' command. This is very useful when you want to scroll up/down in a window.
13. Now users can choose if 'String Operation' – Before/After command should return an Empty (Null) string in case where no string match is found. Very useful to create what if match not found scenarios and what-next logic.
14. Added a setting 'Record on Mouse Down' under Advanced Settings. On certain websites, the mouse click action is over-ridden by mouse down action. This option when enabled starts recording on mouse down so that all your actions on the web are captured.
15. Significantly improved Queuing of Tasks functionality. Tasks slated to run while another task is running will now be queued such that it can run reliably.
16. Enhanced Image Recognition command with an option to repeat the command in case the image is not found at first. This provides the flexibility while recognizing objects and websites which are dynamically loaded.
17. Significantly improved the user interface and control recognition logic for 'Manage Windows Control'. With this you can run tasks much more reliably.
18. FTP/SFTP:
    
    1. Now users will be able to download files/folders based on created/modified date.
    2. Users can now select active/passive FTP at connection time. Active & Passive modes are beneficial to both the FTP server/client admins respectively.

1. Introducing support for IE9 in ‘Web Recorder’. Now, using ‘Web Recorder’, you can record and play tasks in IE9.
2. Now the ‘Stealth Mode’ and ‘Disable mouse and keyboard for this task’ functionality will be available across all operating systems. You can now run tasks with complete anonymity and security.

1. In case of multiple 'Wait for Screen Change' commands in task, the edit command functionality did not work correctly. Fixed.
2. In certain cases, EXE with ‘Web Recorder’ command did not work. Fixed.

   1. Now user can choose if the new URL be opened in the existing IE window or not.

4. When system variable Date is used in Variable operations with hyphens, e.g. ($Date--test--), '-' is converted into the '\'. Fixed.
5. Rarely, while recording a task using Object Recorder, it was unable to find a window even if it existed. Fixed.
6. Using Manage Web Controls, after selecting "Select Action", if the user decides to change the preference to "Select Item by Text", the "Item to Select" box fails to reappear. Fixed.

10. In rare cases, Web Recorder task stopped execution after looping for a few times. Fixed.

1. Added a new feature of Error Handling which allows you to define an error block and actions you want to take if an error occurs within the defined block. This feature allows you to either continue or end the task in case of an error. It also offers advanced error handling options to launch another task, take a snapshot, send an email notification and more. A new error view makes it easy to edit error handlers and to see how a task deals with any errors.
2. Added a new feature of ROI Calculator which shows you how much money you have already saved by using Automation Anywhere till date.
3. Added a new feature of priority based queuing of tasks. Now, a task can have low, medium or high priority associated with it and if a higher priority task gets launched, the currently running lower priority task gets queued. Upon completion of the higher priority task, the queued up lower priority task resumes its execution.
4. Enhanced support for Event based triggers. Added various types of trigger that can monitor the state and performance of the machine like CPU usage, free disk space as well as process count. Also, added triggers that monitor a particular process or a service.
5. Added ‘Printers’ commands like Get Default Printer, Set Default Printer and Remove Printer.
6. Added ‘Services’ commands like Start Service, Stop Service, Pause Service, Resume Service and Get Service Status.
7. Go Green – Some actions in Automation Anywhere can help save the environment like Auto Shutdown computer. To increase awareness about global warming and help Automation Anywhere users choose actions that help save the environment, these actions are marked with green icon.
8. Security enhancements: Automation Anywhere has always set new standards in secure automation with innovations like secure auto login and more. This release adds many more security features setting new standard in secure automation.
• Added keystrokes encryption capability to protect any sensitive data from appearing as plain text in the editor. This will significantly improve security.
• Added a new feature of disabling the user's ability to interact with the computer via keyboard and mouse in case of Auto Login while your task is in progress for enhanced security. This setting can be found under Properties > Security > Auto Login Advance Settings.
• Added a new feature where you can set task to run in stealth mode during auto login. This feature allows you to hide the windows and programs running on your screen to prevent uninvited persons from seeing them. This feature significantly increase security and hides sensitive information from prying eyes. This setting can be found under Properties > Security > Auto Login Advance Settings.
9. Added support for <div>, <label> and <span> tags in the Web Recorder.
10. Enhanced Manage Windows Control command that is more powerful, intuitive and easy to use. Also, added support for Menu Bar, Page Tab and Tool Bar.

21. Added a new feature of Report Designer that generates various reports like Task Run report, Workflow Run report and ROI report. This feature is very useful if you want to quickly check the latest status of all the tasks that ran in last 24 hours, for example.
22. Now you can specify where you would like to store Automation Anywhere tasks. You may change the path via Tools > Options > Advanced Settings > Application Path at any time. If users would like to share their task, you can specify a shared drive for all your tasks.
23. Web Recorder now has a new action called Navigate URL through which a new website can be loaded in the already opened browser.

This feature takes reliability of automation to a new level. All of these actions can also happen in background offering a huge leap in reliable automation.
2. Now Create EXE and Remote Deployment allow nested Run Task support. With this feature even if your task calls another tasks, which calls other tasks and so on, you can create a deployable single EXE file that will automatically account for all dependencies.
3. In "See the Screen" technology aka "Image recognition" a new much faster technology is used. Image recognition can now happen as much as 50 times faster. 20. Significantly improved Task Editor usability by adding drag-n-drop feature. Simply drag the action where you want to insert it. If you want to move actions within the task editor, simply drag and drop as well.
21. Enhancement to Run Script command. Run Script now allows execution of VBScript and JavaScript files irrespective of the path where they exist. It also supports of trapping the return values of VBScript and JavaScript in a Variable.
22. Added new OpenFile, OpenFolder actions in Files/Folders. Also, enhanced the Advanced Options in File/Folder action to incorporate 'Before than' in the Date Format.

3. If database SQL query returned 0 rows and if you try to access Dataset Column variable, the task used to stop. Fixed the problem.
4. Under some cases prompt command displayed old variable values. Fixed it. Now it shows the correct values of the variable.
5. In ‘Create EXE’ feature, ‘Show Errors’ preference setting was ignored. Now if you uncheck ‘Show Errors’, EXEs will not show errors if an error occurs.
6. In Web Recorder ‘Show Errors’ preference setting was ignored. Now if you uncheck ‘Show Errors’, Web Recorder will not show errors if an error occurs.
7. With enhanced Extract Table technology fixed some bugs where the import table did not import the data correctly.

1. Added a new "Wait for Screen Change" command in the Task Editor. With this Automation Anywhere can compare screen images and perform an action if screen image has changed.
2. Significantly improved response time for hotkeys. Now when you press a hotkey, task runs instantly.
3. Improved web data extraction capability to identify and extract many more types of tabular data. Also web data extraction now automatically removes unnecessary spaces when it extracts data from web.
4. Enhanced Trigger capability so that all types of file/folder changes are now recognized. Triggers are now able to recognize if files/folder change on shared drives or if FTP or other 3rd party applications modify the file/folder.
5. Increased limit in Wait for Window command from 999 seconds to 99999 seconds. This helps long running tasks.
6. 'Find broken links' command was enhanced to remove unnecessary spaces in log file.
7. Automation Anywhere used to start in the middle of the screen. Now it remembers the location where it was closed the last time. This will allow user to customize their screen space.

1. In some cases even if the unzip command runs successfully it used to log an error in the log file. Fixed.
2. It was not allowing to schedule the task on windows 2000 if the password was not provided. Now it allows it.
3. In some cases zip file was not zipping the folder structure correctly. Fixed.
4. Random delay didn't work correctly in debug mode. Fixed.
5. If Ping command didn't work correctly in Windows Vista due to change in Vista OS. Fixed.
6. Sometimes in Tools->Options->AutoLogin settings the password was not shown correctly. Fixed.

1. Automation Anywhere now supports Windows Vista.
2. Added unique auto login feature. Auto Login allows scheduled tasks to run even when computer is locked. When Auto Login is enabled, Automation Anywhere will unlock the computer if it is locked, run the task and lock it back. This works great when you have to run few reports in middle of the night, but you cannot leave your computer unlocked.
3. All tasks and EXEs are now stored in My Documents for easy backup etc.
4. Insert Keystrokes, Insert Mouse Click and Close Window command now supports wild card in the Window Titles. For example now you can specify "Microsoft - Excel*"
5. Nested-If is supported now. You can insert as many levels of If commands within another IF commands in your task.
6. Web recorder now allows easier selection from the drop down list on a website. You can simply specify what values or index value you want to select.
7. Web Recorder now supports iFrames controls.
8. Now when you rename or copy the task, new task is automatically selected for easy editing.
9. Previously in IF conditions you can wait for up to 999 seconds for condition to be true. Now that limit is increased. Now tasks can wait for up to few days for IF conditions to be true. This is very useful for long running tasks.
